At The Pilates Space we offer both Mat and Reformer classes to suit all levels.

Whether you are a complete beginner or have been practising for years The Pilates Space pitches the level that's right for you. Have a look in more detail below to find your perfect match.

The Pilates Space focuses on quality movement, emphasising mind to body connection. This creates a deeper, balanced and more mindful practice.

Our style of teaching at the studio embodies Joseph Pilates six key Pilates Principles which are fundamental and key to achieve the best results.

At The Pilates Space we like to combine the classical exercises but with a twist.

This makes our style at the studio different, unique and engaging to our clients.

Pilates isn't one size fits all. All different levels, bodies, abilities and personalities are welcome.

We learn and grow from each other and together we are stronger.

Our classes will be taught in a supportive, welcoming environment that's inclusive for all.

Reformer Pilates

Reformer Pilates is a type of Pilates that is executed on a piece of equipment named a Reformer. A Reformer can both aid and stabilise movement but also increase resistance.

 

The Reformer is great for supporting a beginner's form and alignment but also provides that extra challenge for more advanced clients. 

​

Although it can look daunting to start with, it provides a fun, dynamic way to build strength and stability. 

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates doesn't seem to get as much limelight as Reformer but I assure you it produces as much of a burn!

​

Mat is all about body awareness, breathwork and control. Mat Pilates grounds you in the moment physically and mentally.

​​

Mat focuses on core strength, flexibility and balance to name a few. The benefits are endless. 

 

In our Mat classes we use props to "up the ante" such as ankle weights, ring weights and resistance bands.

Reformer Pilates

Private Pilates  

We offer both Private Mat and Private Reformer sessions. This is a 1:1 or 1:2 session focusing on you.

 

We will have a quick call prior to the session to run through some questions about you. Details such as medical history that affects movement, fitness level, injuries or discuss anything you feel is relevant. We can then plan the perfect session tailored to you.
